— The Homeric Hymn to Artemis. Personally I am a big fan of silver in general and silver ritual jewelry in particular, but there can definitely be gold in Artemis’ regalia. :B (via of-the-eucalypts)

This version of Euripides’ Medea and Other Plays features the plays Medea, Hecabe, Electra, and Heracles. Euripides made his characters speak in human terms and face the consequences of their actions; he was the first playwright to depict suffering without reference to the gods. I remember reading Medea for my AS Levels, and realised how badass she was. And pretty scary if you annoyed her, too. Anyway, give this book a read, you can buy it on Amazon here- I’m selling my own copy!
